Job Creation
We want to create regional culture and creativity hubs which could support thousands of funded, six month placements across Britain, in towns, cities and rural areas.
Background
Instead of reinventing the wheel, we’ll work with existing arts and heritage institutions like museums, libraries, galleries and studios. We’ll draw on the support we know exists in the public, private and creative sectors.
Each hub or centre would offer:
- Local and regional network of placements for creative graduates and long-term unemployed young people (18-24 years)
- NDotM hubs would take responsibility for ensuring quality placement opportunities and offering management support, focusing on key areas
- Recruitment and placement
- Evaluation
- Mentoring and training
- Additional accredited training and access to nationally recognised qualifications
- Advice and portfolio career management
- HR
- Pastoral care
We know there is a real need for space, support for people setting up on their own and most of all, for consistency and quality. That’s why we believe the The NDotM Accreditation for hubs will ensure a guaranteed standard and access to artists, entrpreneurs, mentors and business support.
